How to Grow Your Business through Social Media Marketing

Now that you have a social media presence, are you taking the appropriate steps to capitalize on it? If not, you are missing out on a huge opportunity to gain new customers and grow your business. Not only is marketing on social media effective, it is extremely affordable when compared to other marketing options. Additionally, social media marketing has been proven as an effective and a convenient way to get exposure for your product or brand, attract new customers, make valuable connections with influencers and strengthen your relationships with existing clients. Even though it is extremely valuable, you must first learn how to leverage it for your benefit.

While using social media is rather simple, mastering it can be a bit tricky; however, it is worth the time and effort to figure out what type of content you want to publish and what platforms will be most beneficial to your business.

Some of the most effective ways to use social media marketing to grow your business are highlighted here.

Create Blogs that are Mobile Optimized to Encourage Social Sharing

When it comes to marketing trends, this is one you should not ignore. When you have a responsive, and a mobile optimized blog and website it will make it much easier for your clients to view, read and even share your content on various social media platforms.

Utilize Social Media Marketing Activities

Modern marketers are now integrating their traditional marketing activities into their social media marketing efforts. Some ways you can do this, as well include:

  • Add social media buttons to your site: Buttons will encourage people to click and generate additional traffic to your actual website.
  • Utilize advertisements and promotions: Rather than paying the high fees for advertising in the yellow pages or newspapers, you should use various social media platforms for sharing content related to the services and products you offer.
  • Provide exceptional customer service: Traditional types of customer service will involve calling your customers in order to get their feedback on the services they received. However, with social media you will be able to get feedback and answer questions on the actual platform.

Increase Your Business Exposure

Based on a recent report, virtually all marketers – 93 percent to be exact – who have been using social media marketing for a year – or longer – have generated additional exposure for their business endeavors.

Increased Lead Generation

If you take just six hours each week and dedicate it to social media, you can increase your lead generation efforts quite a bit. However, you have to be dedicated to interacting and posting regularly, or this interest from clients will fade significantly.

Improvement in SEO Rankings

When businesses begin to use social media as a portion of their marketing efforts, they will see the efforts pay off in your actual search engine rankings.

Increased Traffic Generation

When you use social media to publish your content, you will see an increase in the amount of traffic to your website. This is especially true when you utilize catchy and attention grabbing headlines for the content that is being published.

When you utilize social media marketing, you will quickly discover that it can provide results unlike any other marketing method available. The key to these results, is using it to its full potential.

  6. Learning online marketing is my key focus. Old schooler like myself only dream of what could have been in the other businesses I’ve been through. Standing on someone’s doorstep selling roofs on a warm lead and walking any with windows and siding on the contracts was a piece of cake for me. The only draw back would have been getting the crew to go to Portugal or Germany. I learn from all your posts. Thank you so much.

I think this shift in business and marketing has opened the doors to the entry level entrepreneur who is ready to break free from the 9 to 5 corporate world.
